ATI Kohima conducted training on ‘Office Procedure & Management’ with faculty from Institute of Secretariat Training and Management, DoPT, Government of India, New Delhi.
Kohima, August 21 (MExN): The Administrative Training Institute (ATI) Kohima conducted three-day training on ‘Office Procedure & Management’ with faculty from Institute of Secretariat Training and Management, DoPT, Government of India, New Delhi which concluded on August 21.
The workshop was attended by nine Nagaland Civil Service officers and 18 Nagaland Secretariat Service officers.
The training was led by Jitender Bhatti, Deputy Director from the Institute of Secretariat Training and Management (ISTM).
During the interactive session held on the final day, V Shashank Shekhar, IAS, Director General of ATI, addressed the officer trainees. He commended their good academic backgrounds and success in the Nagaland Public Service Commission (NPSC) examinations. DG suggested that they should use the knowledge and their experience and work for the common people. He also stated that, while listing of problems can be done by anyone, what is important is that they should suggest solutions.
Officer trainees put forward several suggestions during the session. Key proposals included the establishment of crèche facilities for administrative officers with young children, strengthening grassroots administrative structures, improving coordination between the administration and various line departments, and leveraging internet-based technology to enhance transparency and efficiency in governance.
The interactive session was also attended by Er N. Moa Longkumer, Joint Director, Imlibenla Jamir, Deputy Director and the course coordinator of the training, Kaholi Sema, Joint Director.
