NCSU expresses shock over fuel adulteration

Kohima, May 24 (MExN): The Nagaland Contractors’ and Suppliers’ Union (NCSU) has expressed shock over the alleged fuel adulteration at Ghorapatti, Dimapur.

The alleged fuel adulteration racket was recently busted by the Rising People’s party (RPP)  “prevalent and operating from several years ago,” the union said in a press release. 

Accordingly, the NCSU expressed deep anguish over the over the huge amount of hard earned cash spent by citizens on purchase of automobiles and huge expenditures on procurement of fuel to run them. 

As matter of fact, it sums up to crores of rupees, and akin to adding salt to injury, the life span of automobiles of Nagaland state would  be greatly shortened on consumption of adulterated fuel, the NCSU stated in the press release issued by its Media Cell. 

Moreover, for daily survival, people are highly dependent on automobiles for ferrying essentials commodities and goods, conveyance of travellers from place to place, it said.

At times, Nagas tend to get emotional and biased when issues run into tribal or family lines but this is a grave matter of concern where every sane and right-thinking individual, Hohos, Civil organisations, it added.

Youth or Student’s bodies should come out to join hands together to condemn “this heinous crime committed by some parties and also severely warns that no individuals involved in this case should be spared,” the NCSU stated.

The union also urged the State Government especially the administration or police to “leave no stone unturned lest it should ever happen in future again.”
