Adopts several regulations at Union's annual general meeting
Kohima, December 16 (MExN): The Nagaland Contractors' & Suppliers' Union (NCSU) on December 16 reaffirmed its stand on mandatory open tender system and for awarding of contractual works only to NCSU’s Identity Card holders as per government standing order. The reaffirmation was made during its Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on December 16 at NCSU Conference Hall Kohima.
The union also resolved to celebrate the 50 years (Golden Jubilee) its establishment; to construct its head office building; and review its constitution, a press release from NCSU informed.
It also resolved to pursue pending liabilities from the State Government Departments and also write a representation to the State Government regarding various taxes. The NCSU AGM also decided to ask the State Government to come out with a yearly works programme.
Meanwhile, the NCSU nominated a new team of office bearers for December 16, 2021 to December 2026 tenure with incumbent officials Pele Khezhie and John Kath to continue as president and general secretary. Other office bearers are as follows: Vice Presidents - N Neilo Koza, Hoshito Assumi & KL Setuo Rutsa; Secretaries - Imsünok Jamir, Tseibou Khesoh and Nzanbemo Tungoe; and Treasurer - Kevihetuo Solo.
The nomination committee headed by T Yanger Imchen as convener and SK Rangma, H Muzung Yimchunger, Kuzhasheyi Alex and Hotoshe Sumi as members nominated the names of the NCSU office bearers and they were approved during the AGM.
