NCSU rewards three ‘Best Traffic’ personnel in Kohima

Kohima | December 15

The Nagaland Contractors' & Suppliers' Union (NCSU) today celebrated Advent Christmas at Hotel Japfu, Kohima. 

Through this event, the NCSU conferred the Best Traffic Award 2021 to three traffic police personnel for their outstanding performance. The recipients- Temjensangla, Kevimenuo Sopfü (North Traffic Control) and Tsito Yhoshu (South Traffic Control) carried Rs 10,000 each along with citation.

The felicitation was led by NCSU Secretary, Imsunok Jamir while NCSU President, Pele Khezhie handed over award to the recipients.

Sharing Christmas message, KABA pastor Temjen Sempo pointed out the society is plague with self-centred and 'ism', failing to raise above oneself, and had penetrated even among the young generations, living in society whom the society look up has fallen into the self-centred situation. He viewed that the people don't want to give but only wants to be receiver and  also dependent only on the government and have even expected the church to open up employment opportunity to youth in the form of schools, industry etc. 

He said the coming of Christ must change the people. A selfish society can never progress, he said adding that a society progresses when people come and work together.

He also stressed on the need to reach out to the needy people in this Christmas season.

Kohima Senior Superintendent of Police, Kevithuto Sophie, Works & Housing Secretary Kevekha Kevin Zehol and NCSU general secretary John Kath also shared greetings. Khriesakuonuo Rutsa presented a special number. Earlier, NCSU Secretary N Neilo Koza chaired the programme while vote of thanks was proposed by NCSU Vice President Tsiebou Khusoh.
