NDPP Central teams visit regional units, consultative meetings held

Dimapur, October 6 (MExN): Teams from the NDPP Central Youth Organisation visited Mokokchung, Wokha and Tuensang and held consultative meeting with officials in the regional offices on October 6. 

According to updates from its Media & IT Cell, the consultative meetings were held with strict compliance to all COVID-19 protocols. In all the meetings the core highlights included updates of various plans and programnes of the party strengthening of the party cadre at the grassroots level and encouraging more enrollment, importance of media and social networking in the present context, the Naga political issue as well as the COVID-19 pandemic and the need to collectively battle it with close coordination with Government agencies, the release informed.

The NDPP central teams also appreciated  the efforts and interest of NDPP regions in collectively combating the pandemic, which it said, illustrated how the Government and the public must come together to fight the pandemic, the release stated.

In Tuensang, the Central team also donated masks to all the youths that attended the meeting in addition to 1,500 masks to the Tuensang Region Youth Organisation.

Coordination meet in Zunheboto 
Meanwhile, a coordination meeting of the NDPP Zunheboto Region and the Central Party in-charge of Zunheboto District was also held in Zunheboto on October 6. 

The meeting was attended by the party executives of the region and the office bearers from the seven Assembly Constituencies of 13-Pughoboto, 31-Akuluto, 32-Atoizu, 33-Suruhuto, 34-Aghunato, 35-Zunheboto and 36- Satakha, a press release informed.

According to the release, the meeting thoroughly deliberated on issues ranging from party affairs and its growth and expansion to concerns related to improvement of infrastructure and needy development works in the district. 

Speeches were presented by the president NDPP Zunheboto Region, Khehoshe H Yeptho, all the four officials representing the central office and the presidents of the Assembly Constituencies who also submitted the status reports of their constituencies. 

The meeting unanimously resolved to expand the growth of the Party by resorting to extensive enrolment of Party members which is targeted to 25, 000 members, the release stated.

The meeting also conveyed appreciation to Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, Party President Chingwang Konyak and the NDPP legislature of Zunheboto district for paving way to enable the NDPP Zunheboto Region to procure its office building at Zunheboto town, it said.
