NDPP clarifies on show cause notice

The NDPP clarified today it has not served showcause notice to the party’s youth wing vice president Vycato S Aye. As per news reports, the party has asked Aye to show cause with regard to the latter’s recent spat with coalition partner BJP over the Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton’s alleged remarks promoting backdoor appointments and a subsequent complaint lodged by Aye with the Nagaland Lokayukta . 

When contacted by The Morung Express, NDPP Spokesperson, Merentoshi R Jamir attributed it to an inadvertent error on his part. “I have given a clarification that it was an inadvertent error and that no show cause notice was issued but a clarification sought from him on the matter. And that the error is regretted,” said Jamir.

 He added that his clarification was circulated on social media after news reports made the rounds.
