NDPP Mon resolves to seek party tickets for all sitting legislators

Mon, May 24 (MExN): The Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP), Mon Region has unanimously resolved to seek party tickets for all the 8 seats the party is currently holding in the district during the ensuing 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly Election 2023.

To this end, the party has resolved to work with “whole hearted dedication and sincerity to ensure complete victory for all the NDPP candidates from Mon Region for the upliftment of the people, informed a press release from the district unit.

The NDPP’s representatives in Mon in the 13th NLA increased from 3 to 8, following a recent political development in the Naga People’s Party. There are nine assembly constituency seats in Mon district. 

Meanwhile, it further resolved to fully support the decision made by the Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and party President Chingwang Konyak, it said. 

The resolutions were adopted during a reception-cum-felicitation programme organised by the NDPP Mon Region at  Town Council Hall, Mon Town on May 16 to welcome the 5 legislators from Mon Region joining the party from Naga People’s Front.

The legislators were Minister YM Yollow and MLAs EE Pangteang Konyak, Eshak Konyak, Thongwang Konyak and CL John.

The NDPP the NDPP Mon Region “warmly welcome all those who have joined the party from Nagaland Legislative Assembly level to the grassroot level especially the above legislators, the release issued by the NDPP, Mon Region President, S Khoiwang Wangsa and General Secretary, Chingmei Konyak.

Among others, the NDPP State; Mon Region President; MLAs/Advisors - Noke Wangnao, Pohwang Konyak and Bongkhao Konyak; and the office Bearers from 9 Assembly Constituencies – 41 Tizit, 42 Wakching, 43 Tapi, 44 Phomching, 45 Tehok, 46 Mon Town, 47 Aboi, 48 Moka and 55 Tobu, received the legislators, it added.
