Dimapur, October 29 (MExN): The Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) expressed shock and grief at the demise of Nchumo Kikon on October 29 after a brief illness at Dimapur. Late Nchumo Kikon was an incumbent General Secretary of the NDPP and was actively involved with the activities of the party, NDPP president Chingwang Konyak stated. “The NDPP family is pained at losing such a senior leader, who had vast experience and was directly involved with the grassroots. In his demise, the NDPP in particular and the community in general have lost an outstanding leader and the vacuum left by him will be hard to fill,” he added. Conveying condolences to late Kikon’s wife and all members of the bereaved family, the NDPP President also prayed for strength and solace for them and for the departed to rest in peace.
