NDPP party orgs asked to submit reports

Kohima, April 19 (MExN): The Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) today stated that all party organisations are to take steps and measures for consolidation and strengthening at all levels throughout the year. 

Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio has announced 2021 as the ‘Year of Party Consolidation & Strengthening’ for the NDPP. 

All party organisations at assembly constituency levels are to submit reports to the region president every two months on party activities on the guidelines indicated below. Subsequently, the region presidents are to submit bi-monthly reports to the Central Headquarters, NDPP, President, Chingwang Konyak stated in a press release. 

The first report to the Central Headquarters is to be submitted by region office latest by June 30, 2021. The next report is to be submitted latest by August 31, followed by October 31 and the final report should be submitted latest by December 20. 

“Leaders in-charge of organisations, committees and regions are also to submit reports accordingly. Convenors of all committees are also to follow the same schedule,” Konyak informed. 

He also stated that the party consolidation and strengthening activities should include the following: Intensive enrolment campaigns; Consultative meetings at all levels; Increase use of social media platforms like Facebook, twitter, etc by the party’s rank and file; organisation and conduct of socially positive initiatives that impact society and the masses in a positive manner to spread an appreciable image and reputation of the party amongst the public; assist the government agencies to ensure that the government’s welfare and public programmes and policies are genuinely reached to the targeted sections of society; take proactive steps that contribute towards transparency, good governance and meritocracy; streamlining of financial procedures as instructed by the treasurer’s office; establishment of party office and properties in every region and progress reports to be submitted bimonthly with photographs. 

“This matter is to be taken as urgent priority,” he added.
