Kohima, October 8 (MExN): Units of the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) on Thursday highlighted activities conducted by the party during the month of October.
Kohima: According to a press release from the party’s Secretary, the NDPP Central Executive Board (CEB) members and regional in-charge of Kohima conducted a touring programme to various Assembly constituencies from October 5 to 7.
The team had Prasielie Pienyü, General Secretary NDPP as convenor, along with Peter Kuotsu, General Secretary NDPP, Kevipopi Secretary, NDPP with Kedulhoulie Huozha Working President and office bearers NDPP, Kohima region.
They highlighted the success and achievements of the PDA Government and the need for increasing enrolment of party membership, cooperation, policies and vision of NDPP for upliftment of social economical status of rural and encouragements of farmers in developing Agri and allied sector etc.
The team conveyed gratitude to Advisor Dr Neikiesalie Kire, Convenor and Er Zale Neikha Co- Convenor elected members-in-charge of the Party organization and regions for their encouragement.
They also acknowledged the party’s former candidates Er Kevisekho Kruse 8th Western Angami Constituency , Dr Kekhrielhoulie Yhome 10th Northern Angami - I constituency for their eagerness and concern in bonding with Assembly constituency party members and to all unit party Presidents and colleagues and Frontal organization of various Assembly constituencies under Kohima district for actively participating in NDPP Kohima regional consultative meeting.
Kiphire: A consultative meeting of the Kiphire NDPP region was held on October 7 at Kiphire town in the presence of Kerithong Sangtam, General Secretary NDPP Nagaland and convener Kiphire District in-charge.
Peren: A consultative meeting of the NDPP, Peren Region along with the newly appointed District in-charge, Advisor to PDA and Former Speaker NLA, Neiba Ndang was held on October 6 at the party’s region office in Jalukie Town.
Chaired by Region President Ziekuidi Zaliang, the meeting began with an invocation by Alungle, President of the NDPP Women Organisation, Peren Region.
The newly appointed district in-charge highlighted various activities of the government. and called on its leaders to strive for excellence. He also encouraged party members to keep on working to elevate the stands of the party in every field.
The meeting concluded with a benedictory prayer by D Atong , Advisor NDPP , Peren Region.
Longleng, Mon: The NDPP Central Youth Organisation also held consultative meetings in Longleng and Mon.
Led by President Kelhouneizo Yhome and Secretary Pahen Phom, the team met NDPP Longleng Region Youth Organisation office bearers on October 7.
A team led by Vice President Meyisanger Lemtur, Secretary Vichosel Rhütso and Secretary Atoska Swu also visited Mon and held a consultative meeting with the NDPP Mon Region Youth Organisation. The team also met the Superintendent of Police, Mon, according to a press release from the Media and IT cell of the party’s youth organization.
Some highlights of the meetings included updates of various plans and programmes of the party, encouraging more enrolment of members and strengthening the party cadre at grass root level etc.
The team also shared the PDA government’s stand and support to the ongoing Indo-Naga political talks.
Wokha: Meanwhile, the CEB members and in-charge of NDPP Wokha Region paid a cordial visit to the Lotha Baptist Churches Association (LBCA) Vangkhosung on October 7.
In their brief interaction, they discussed and shared the NDPP’s vision, principles and ideologies with the officials of the mission center.
The newly assigned CEB Team, in-charge of NDPP Wokha Region with T L Merry, General Secretary as Convener and T M Humtsoe, Vice President, Renbio, Secretary and Margaret Ngullie, Secretary as members, are on a special tour programme to visit the party’s region.
They acknowledged Rev Dr Tsanso Lotha, Executive Secretary, and officials of Lotha Baptist Churches Association (LBCA) Vangkhosung for their warm response and for invoking God’s blessings and good will upon the NDPP and the visiting members.
