Kohima, October 10 (MExN): The Nationalist Democratic People’s Party (NDPP) CEB team, in-charge NDPP Wokha region in coordination with NDPP Wokha Region held a joint meeting including office bearers of all the four Assembly Constituencies and frontal chiefs/leaders at the Tourist Lodge, Wokha on October 8.
According to a press release from the NDPP Wokha Region President Yanbansao Lotha, various topics of importance were deliberated at length including hardships faced under the COVID-19 lockdown, Indo-Naga political issue, cooperation and support to the local administration and civil society, and cohesive relation with alliance partners and responsibility of elected members for party works etc.
The visiting NDPP CEB team paid a courtesy visit to the Deputy Commissioner and the Superintendent of Police, Wokha as well.
The team was led by T L Merry, General Secretary as Convener and Y M Humtsoe, Vice President, Renbomo Kikon, General Secretary, Renbio, and Margaret Ngullie, Secretaries, as members.
Advisor, Horticulture & Border Affairs, Mhathung Yanthan, Legislator in-charge NDPP Wokha Region, who also participated in the meeting, exhorted the party leaders and functionaries.
In the meeting, the members appreciated the Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio-led PDA government and all agencies for the “prompt and effective combat against the unprecedented COVID 19 pandemic, ensuring to check and control the spread of the virus from day one.”
They also lauded the proposed consultative meeting with stakeholders called by the PDA government on October 15.
They extended ‘unflinching support’ to the leadership of CM Rio, NDPP President and PDA Chairman Chingwang Konyak and all PDA Legislators.
NDPP Central Youth Organisation visits Peren and Tseminyu
Meanwhile, in a separate press release, the NDPP Central Youth Organisation informed that official tour and consultative meetings were conducted in Peren and tseminnyu.
Led by Vice President Vicato Aye, Treasurer Sedevikho Angami, General Secretary Temjenmongla and Kehungdibe Hegui and Secretary, Adu Shupao the central youth team on an official tour visited and held consultative meeting with NDPP Peren Region Youth Organisation office bearers.
Another team led by General Secretary Alodi Neikha and Kehouneio Thernuo, Vice President John Wanth, Secretray Vibeinuo, Bensi and John Tep also visited Tseminyu and held consultative meeting with the NDPP Tseminyu Region Youth Organisation on October 10.
