Nagaland Planning and Coordination, Land Revenue and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Neiba Kronu appraised Ravi Shankar Prasad, Union Minister for Electronic & Information Technology, Department of Telecommunication, Ministry of Communication about poor mobile network connectivity in the State.
The mobile network service providers presently providing services in the state are not performing well and the network connection has deteriorated and is becoming worse day by day, Kronu wrote on March 15.
For the past few months, people are facing lots of difficulties in using their cell phone, he stated adding that the students and teaching communities are also facing problems in their academic online classes. Banks, post offices, transport agencies etc. are also badly affected due to erratic network connectivity, he added.
The user cannot download the important files, converse properly or make calls and can hardly make transactions in the bank and this is hampering the day today activities, Kronu stated.
Cautioning that the public are about to come to the street for agitation, Kronu requested the Ministry to look into the matter and do the needful to improve the mobile and internet services in the State.
