Dimapur, May 24 (MExN): Neithongunuo Rio Achumi, proprietor of Elite Strength Gym, Dimapur brought laurels to the state of Nagaland by winning gold at the 3rd NPC National Bodybuilding and Physique Championship, held in Chennai from May 20 to 22.
Neithongunuo, the lone athlete to represent Nagaland, attributed her ability to represent the state in the competition to the patronage of Amitoli Ayemi and MLA & Advisor, Department of Power, H Tovihoto Ayemi, stated a press release issued by National Physique Committee (NPC) Nagaland. The National Championship was held under the NPC Worldwide India and IFBB Professional League India.
N Phutolu Achumi MES president and NPC Nagaland presiding chairman has informed that Neithongunuo will further represent India in the world renowned and prestigious Sheru Classic international competition to be held in Delhi from June 17 to 19.
Neithonguno Rio Achumi is a mother of two, a certified fitness trainer, nutritional expert and proprietor of Elite Strength Gym, Dimapur. Her list of accomplishments includes winning Gold at WABBA Miss Northeast India 2018; top ten finalists in Amateur Mr Olympia India 2018; Bronze medal in the NPC Bengal Championship 2022. She is an athlete competing in the women’s bikini division of the NPC/IFBB Pro League India.
