Nepali gospel singing competition Voice Hunt Season-IV concludes

Dimapur, November 28 (MExN): A one-day Nepali gospel singing competition ‘Voice Hunt Season-IV’ organized by Nepali Baptist Church Chümoukedima Youth Ministry was held on November 28. A total of nine finalists performed under the theme ‘Praise his name.’

The first prize was bagged by Alika Thapa of Gorkha Baptist Church Thahekhu; second prize was grabbed by Rachel Sunam of Nepali Baptist Church Kohima; while third was grabbed by Jacob Sundas of Nepali Baptist Church Chümoukedima, according to a press release from the organizers.

The event was organized in aid of Church Mission Field and also with a focus to inspire, enrich, and spiritually and musically motivate the Christian Gorkha youths under AGBCN, the press release stated.

The programme was graced by North Town Higher Secondary School Principal, Bishnu Chetri who in his speech focused, on how music plays an important role in the life of youths. He encouraged each participant to glorify God with their talents and also have dignity of labour.

The Voice Hunt included a special performance from judge Tshering Lama, vocalist of the only Gorkha Gospel Band Nagaland—the Chronicles Band.
