NERLP opens CDP at Beisumpuikam Village

Peren, September 7 (MExN): Divisional Account Officer, PHED, Peren Division, Peren, Heisibe Iralu inaugurated the Community Development Plan (CDP) on September 7 at Kamdi Bazaar, Beisumpuikam Village.  

The CDP was constructed for providing drinking water & irrigation of Homestead garden, arecunut plantation supported by North East Rural Livelihood Project under ministry of DoNER Government of India and World Bank, a release informed. The total cost of the project was Rs 10,30,000.  

Heisibe Iralu, in his speech stated that it was a commendable work of the Northeast Rural Livelihood Project for understanding the problems of the villages and implementing many activities across the district.  

NERLP, District Project Manager, Ruuvilie Kotsu, stated that any development needs to be owned by the community. He also added that besides the completion, the importance of managing the asset created was crucial. The community should plan for generating incoming by charging minimal fee or contribution from the users which can be further used for the maintenance. Out of the total 75 CDP approved, the completion of Ngwalwa CDP have added 26 CDP completed, he added.
