New Beisumpui Presbyterian Church celebrates 50 years

Peren, January 22 (MExN): The Presbyterian Church, New Beisumpui, Zeme Presbytery, CHT Synod (PCI) Peren Nagaland celebrated its Gospel Golden Jubilee under the theme ‘The wonder of God’s love’ on January 17.

According to a press release from the Golden Jubilee Celebration’s Committee on Friday, Rev Deisaung Pame, Moderator Zeme Presbytery and Pastor in-charge of Jalukie Pastorate graced the celebration as Minister and unfurled the jubilee flag. Rev Pame also unveiled and blessed the jubilee monolith.

Along with Rev Pame, Insamneile Riamme, Secretary for Women’s Relation, General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of India (PCI), Shillong, was the speaker while Rev Keyihungbe Pame, Pastor in-charge of Kubing Pastorate released the Jubilee Souvenir. After the closing ceremony, the jubilee flag handed over to Jubilee committee chairmen Ramyibe Riamme by Rev Nzuhingbe Pame, Pastor in-charge of Kebai Pastorate.

According to the release, the Presbyterian Church New Beisumpui is the first Presbyterian Church in Nagaland which was established on May 9, 1971. Since its establishment, as the mother church, Presbyterian Church New Beisumpui had helped, nurtured and guided several fellowships/preaching stations to become fledged churches. As of now, Zeme Presbyterian Church Nagaland (ZPCN) has 10 churches and 1 fellowship with total population of 1,829 members, the release stated.
