Tening, March 8 (MExN): Nagaland Minister for Health and Family Welfare S Pangnyu Phom inaugurated the upgraded Community Health Centre (CHC), Tening on March 6.
According to a DIPR report, the Minister stated that with the initiative of the Chief Minister, a High Power Committee was set up and 390 posts for doctors and nurses were created in the midst the COVID-19 pandemic. Ten CHCs, 15 PHCs and 43 Sub Health Centre were created/ upgraded in the current phase, he said. Phom also said that all required facilities of CHC Tening would be sanctioned as per the norms and appealed to the public for cooperation and support to the government for all-round development. Phom said that the government of India’s policy is to give good healthcare facilities to all as India celebrates 75 years of independence.
Advisor for IPR, SCERT and Village Guards Toshi Wungtung, Advisor for Youth Resources and Sports Er Zale Neikha, Advisor for Treasuries & Accounts, National Highways Dr Longrineken and Advisor for Water Resources Development, Namri Nchang also spoke on the occasion.
As per the DIPR, Peren Deputy Commissioner Sentiwapang Aier appealed Advisor Wungtung to look into border security and urged the Advisor for Youth Resources and Sports to take care of the talented youth from the district.
Principal Director for Health & Family Welfare, Dr Kevichusa Medikhru meanwhile stated that the department would be mooting for post creation of doctors and also assured for better medical equipment to serve the people, the report stated.
Later, the Minister inspected the wards and laboratories and the Senior Medical Officer, CHC Tening informed that solar power would be installed at the hospital, it added.
