Dimapur, January 5 (MExN): The Nagaland Foothills Road Coordination Committee (NFHRCC) today resolved to make an appeal to all the apex tribal hoho to donate an amount of Rs 50,000 each to mitigate the foothills road project at the earliest preferably by January last week 2021.
The NFHRCC during a meeting held on January 2 also resolved to direct all heavy trucks goods carriers plying on the aligned foothills road to cautiously use the road to avoid further damage as it will obstruct the movement of smaller public vehicle taking the same road. The log truck and stone crusher operators are also requested to maintain the road useable for all vehicles in their area of operations as deem fit.
The NFHRCC in a press release while acknowledging the 11 Ao legislatures for apprising the Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio on the foothills road issue also appealed to co-ordinate among themselves and to apprise the Government to execute the work at the earliest.
Meanwhile, it acknowledged the contractor M/S L Pukhato Shohe & Sons of the Doyang Bridge at Governor’s Camp at Liphanyan for resuming the construction after the COVID-19 lockdown break. It also appealed to the firm to expedite its completion at the earliest.
