NFR adds 10863 berths in 25 mail express trains during FY 23-24

Maligaon, April 8 (MExN): During the last financial year of 2023-2024, NF Railway has added 151 additional coaches to give more berths for the passengers travelling in the following mail express trains on a permanent basis.

The details of coach augmented are given below:
•    Train No. 12505/12506 Kamakhya Jn.-Anand Vihar Terminal-Kamakhya Jn. (North East Express) has been permanently augmented withadditional coaches to add496 berths w.e.f. 2.04.23.
•    Train No. 15658/15657 Kamakhya Jn.-Delhi-Kamakhya Jn. (Brahmaputra Mail) has been permanently augmented with additional Coaches to add 620 berths w. e. f. 2.04.23.
•    Train No. 12523/12524 New Jalpaiguri-New Delhi-New Jalpaiguri express has been permanently augmented with additional Coaches to add 612 berths w.e.f. 1.04.23.
•    Train No. 15483/15484 Alipurduar Jn.-Delhi Jn.-Alipurduar Jn. (Sikkim Mahananda Express) has been permanently augmented with additional Coaches to add 576 berths w.e.f. 2.04.23.
•    Train No. 15417/15418 Alipurduar Jn.-Silghat Town-Alipurduar Jn. (Rajya Rani Express) has been permanently augmented with additional Coaches to add 216 berths w.e.f. 26.06.23.
•    Train No. 02502/02501 Agartala-Kolkata-Agartala special & Train No. 02518/02517 Guwahati-Kolkata- Guwahati special have been permanently augmented with additional Coaches to add 415 berths w.e.f. 9.08.23 and 12.08.23 respectively.
•    Train No. 12505/12506 Kamakhya-Anand Vihar Terminal-Kamakhya (North East Express) has been permanently augmented with additional Coaches to add 384 berths w.e.f. 2.08.23.
•    Train No. 15658/15657 Kamakhya Jn.-Delhi-Kamakhya Jn. (Brahmaputra Mail) has been permanently augmented with additional Coaches to add 480 berths w.e.f. 6.08.23.
•    Train No. 15483/15484 Alipurduar Jn. - Delhi Jn. - Alipurduar Jn. (Sikkim Mahananda Express) has been permanently augmented with additional Coaches to add 664 berths w.e.f. 2.08.23.
•    Train No. 22502/22501 New Tinsukia-SMVT Bengaluru-New Tinsukia express has been permanently augmented with additional Coaches to add 83 berths w.e.f. 4.08.23.
•    Train no 15930/15929 New Tinsukia-Tambaram-New Tinsukia, Train No. 15933/15934 New Tinsukia- Amritsar- New Tinsukia and train no. 22502/22501 New Tinsukia-SMVT Bengaluru-New Tinsukia express have been permanently augmented with additional Coaches to add 249 berths w.e.f. 4.09.23, 5.09.23 and 1.09.23 respectively.  
•    Train No. 15909/15910 Dibrugarh–Lalgarh-Dibrugarh (Avadh Assam Express) has been permanently augmented with additional Coaches to add 1162 berths w.e.f. 17.09.23.
•    Train No.15707/ 15708 Katihar-Amritsar-Katihar (Amrapali Express) has been permanently augmented with additional Coaches to add 675 berths w.e.f. 18.09.23.
•    Train No. 15612/15611 Silchar-Rangiya-Silchar express has been permanently augmented additional Coaches to add 256 berths w.e.f. 6.10.23.
•    Train No. 20501/20502 Agartala-Anand Vihar Terminal-Agartala (Tejas Express) has been permanently augmented with additional Coaches to add 112 berths w.e.f. 9.10.23.
•    Train No. 15713/15714 Katihar-Patna-Katihar (Intercity Express) has been permanently augmented with additional Coaches to add 108 berths w.e.f. 3.12.23.
•    Train No. 15612/15611 Silchar-Rangiya-Silchar express has been permanently augmented additional Coaches to add 272 berths w.e.f. 10.12.23.
•    Train No. 15895/15896 Rangiya-Murkongselek-Rangiya Express has been permanently augmented with additional Coaches and to add 432 berths w.e.f. 28.12.23.
•    Train No. 12505/12506 Kamakhya-Anand Vihar Terminal-Kamakhya (North East Express) and train no. 15658/15657 Kamakhya Jn.-Delhi-Kamakhya Jn. (Brahmaputra Mail) have been permanently augmented with additional Coaches to add 2241 berths w.e.f. 15.02.24 and 22.01.24 respectively.  
•    Train No. 15665/15666 Guwahati-Mariani-Guwahati (BG Express) & Train No. 15669/15670 Guwahati-Dibrugarh-Guwahati (Nagaland Express) have been permanently augmented with additional Coaches to add 810 berths w.e.f. 10.02.24 and 22.02.24 respectively. 
“Augmentation of train coaches were adopted by railways to facilitate wait listed passengers that in-turn helps to clear the extra rush of train passengers,” Sabyasachi De, Chief Public Relations Officer, NFR stated in a press release.
