MALIGAON, MAY 12 (MExN): To clear extra rush of passengers, the North East Frontier Railway (NFR) has decided to continue the services of one pair of special trains bearing no 07046/07047 (Secunderabad – Dibrugarh – Secunderabad).
These trains will run with the existing days of service, timings and stoppages. Also, it decided to operate superfast summer special trains between Howrah and New Jalpaiguri. The superfast summer special train bearing no 02309/02310 (Howrah - New Jalpaiguri – Howrah) will operate for seven trips each in both directions, a press release from NFR CPRO Sabyasachi De informed.
The service of train no 07046 (Secunderabad – Dibrugarh) special has been extended from May 20 till June 24 to run on every Monday. In return direction, the service of the train no 07047 (Dibrugarh – Secunderabad) special has been extended from May 23 till June 27 to run on every Thursday.
Moreover, train no 02309 (Howrah - New Jalpaiguri) special will depart from Howrah at 05:55 hours on May 15, 22 & 29, and June 5, 12, 19 & 26 to reach New Jalpaiguri at 13:25 hours the same day. In the return direction, train no 02310 (New Jalpaiguri – Howrah) special will depart from New Jalpaiguri at 15:00 hours on May 15, 22 & 29 and June 5, 12, 19 & 26 to reach Howrah at 22:35 hours the same day.
The superfast special trains will consist of 13 AC chair car coaches for the convenience of passengers. During its both ways journey, the superfast train will run via Dankuni, Bolpur Shantiniketan, Malda Town, and Barsoi railway stations.
The details of stoppages and timings of these trains are available at IRCTC website and social media platforms of NF Railway. Passengers are requested to verify the details before undertaking their journey, the press release stated.
Cancellation & rescheduling of trains
In view of the ongoing track repairing works at KM – 110/6-7 between Jatinga Lampur and New Harangajao under Lumding division of NFR, the following trains are being cancelled/rescheduled as given below
Cancellation of trains- Train no- 15615/15616 (Guwahati - Silchar - Guwahati) Express scheduled to depart on May 13 from their respective destinations will remain cancelled.
Train no- 05638/05637 (Silchar - Naharlagun - Silchar) Special scheduled to depart on May 13 and 14 from Silchar & Naharlagun respectively will remain cancelled.
Rescheduling of trains-Train no- 20501 (Agartala – Anand Vihar Terminal) Tejas Rajdhani Express commencing journey on May 13 is rescheduled to depart from Agartala at 23:10 hrs.
Train no- 14037 (Silchar – New Delhi) Poorvottar Sampark Kranti Express commencing journey on May 13 is rescheduled to depart from Silchar at 23:45 hrs.
