NFR announces extension of weekly special train services

Maligaon, August 26 (MExN): To accommodate the increased passenger demand, the Northeast Frontier Railway has announced the extension of services for the weekly special train No. 05671/05672, running between Guwahati and Anand Vihar Terminal. The extension includes two additional trips in both directions from August 28 to September 6.

Train No. 05671 (Guwahati - Anand Vihar Terminal) will depart from Guwahati on August 28 and September 4, 2024, at 3:00 PM, arriving in Anand Vihar Terminal at 8:50 AM on Friday. In the return direction, Train No. 05672 (Anand Vihar Terminal - Guwahati) will leave Anand Vihar Terminal on August 30 and September 6, 2024, at 11:45 PM, reaching Guwahati at 2:15 PM on Sunday.

The special train will maintain its existing schedule, days of service, and stoppages, covering key stations including Kamakhya, Rangiya, New Bongaigaon, New Jalpaiguri, and Prayagraj.

It will consist of one AC 3-tier coach, eight sleeper class coaches, and ten general second-class coaches.

This extension aims to provide relief to waitlisted passengers on these routes. Passengers are encouraged to check the detailed schedule and stoppages on the IRCTC website or through N.F. Railway’s social media platforms before their journey.
