Maligaon, August 16 (MExN): The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has announced changes to train services in view of ongoing restoration work near New Harangajao station following the settlement of railway tracks on Lines 1 and 2 in the Lumding-Badarpur Hill Section.
Train operations in the section are being maintained through Line 3 with enhanced safety measures, NFR stated.
Four trains have been cancelled: Train Nos. 15617 (Guwahati-Dullabcherra) and 15615 (Guwahati-Silchar) on August 17, and Train Nos. 15618 (Dullabcherra-Guwahati) and 15616 (Silchar-Guwahati) on August 18.
Eight trains have been rescheduled, including the Narangi-Agartala, Agartala-Narangi, Guwahati-Sairang, Sairang-Guwahati, Rangiya-Silchar, Silchar-Rangiya, Agartala-Anand Vihar Terminal Tejas Express and Silchar-New Delhi Poorvottar Sampark Kranti Express.
The Charlapalli-Silchar Express (15645) commencing August 15 and Kolkata-Agartala Express (12501) commencing August 16 will be regulated en route suitably.
NFR said the changes have been made to facilitate restoration work while maintaining train operations with necessary safety measures in the affected section.

Rescheduling of Trains:
Train No. 15650 (Narangi – Agartala) Express commencing journey on 17.08.2026 hasbeen rescheduled to depart from Narangi at 22:30 hrs.
Train No. 15649 (Agartala – Narangi) Express commencing journey on 17.08.2026 has been rescheduled to depart from Agartala at 23:30 hrs.
Train No. 15609 (Guwahati – Sairang) Express commencing journey on 17.08.2026 has been rescheduled to depart from Guwahati at 23:30 hrs.
Train No. 15610 (Sairang – Guwahati) Express commencing journey on 17.08.2026 hasbeen rescheduled to depart from Sairang at 21:30 hrs.
Train No. 15611 (Rangiya – Silchar) Express commencing journey on 17.08.2026 has beenrescheduled to depart from Rangiya at 23:30 hrs.
Train No. 15612 (Silchar – Rangiya) Express commencing journey on 17.08.2026 has been rescheduled to depart from Silcharat 05:00 hrsof 18.08.2026.
