NFR Construction Organisation celebrates 80th Independence Day

Maligaon, August 16 (MExN): The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) Construction Organisation celebrated the 80th Independence Day at the NFR Construction Complex, Maligaon, on August 15.

NFR Construction General Manager Ashish Bansal hoisted the national flag in the presence of senior officials, railway employees and their families.

Addressing the gathering, Bansal paid tribute to freedom fighters and martyrs, including Kanaklata Barua, Kushal Konwar and Maniram Dewan. He emphasised the organisation’s role in strengthening railway connectivity across the Northeast and contributing to the Government of India’s Act East Policy.

He said railway infrastructure development in the region was important for connectivity, economic growth, regional development and national integration, and called upon employees to continue working with dedication, integrity and professionalism.

The programme concluded with a reaffirmation of the organisation’s commitment to strengthening railway infrastructure and connectivity in the North-East, informed a press release from the CPRO NFR.
