Maligaon, September 9 (MExN): Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has decided to extend the operation of two pairs of special trains to facilitate passengers and clear the additional rush during the upcoming festival season.
The extended services include Train No. 04008/04007 (Anand Vihar Terminal-Jogbani-Anand Vihar Terminal) Festival Special Express and Train No. 08047/08048 (Santragachi Jn.-Naharlagun-Santragachi Jn.) Special. The trains will operate with their existing schedules, timings, composition and stoppages.
Train No. 04008 (Anand Vihar Terminal-Jogbani) Festival Special Express will operate for five trips from October 10 to November 7, while Train No. 04007 (Jogbani-Anand Vihar Terminal) will run for five trips from October 11 to November 8.
The train will operate via Ghaziabad, Moradabad, Bareilly, Shahjahanpur, Gonda, Gorakhpur Jn., Chhapra, Hajipur, Barauni, Begusarai, Khagaria, Naugachia, Katihar, Purnea Jn. and Forbesganj, among other stations. It will have 20 coaches.
Meanwhile, the operation of Train No. 08047 (Santragachi Jn.-Naharlagun) Special has been extended for three additional trips on September 11, 18 and 25. In the return direction, Train No. 08048 (Naharlagun-Santragachi Jn.) will operate on September 12, 19 and 26.
NFR said details of stoppages and timings are available on the IRCTC website and N.F. Railway’s social media platforms. Passengers have been advised to verify the details before undertaking their journey.
