NFR organises vigilance workshop at Maligaon HQ

Maligaon, October 15 (MExN): As part of Vigilance Awareness Week 2025, the Vigilance Wing of the Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) organised an interactive workshop and presentation session at its headquarters in Maligaon.

The October 13 session, was addressed by Priyanka Singh, IRS, Director of the Central Vigilance Commission, and graced by SP Beck, Senior Deputy General Manager and Chief Vigilance Officer, NFR.

According to a press release from NFR, the workshop saw active participation from heads and officers of all vigilance departments. The event served as a platform for constructive dialogue, knowledge sharing, and experience exchange among vigilance professionals.
In her address, Singh gave a detailed presentation on effective methods of conducting vigilance investigations under the Central Vigilance Commission framework. 

She highlighted best practices, procedural adherence, and ethical governance, while also engaging participants through interactive case studies aimed at fostering analytical thinking and transparency.

Beck emphasised the importance of proactive vigilance and the need to strengthen preventive mechanisms across departments to uphold integrity and efficiency in railway operations. He commended vigilance officials from various divisions and units for their continued commitment to promoting fairness and transparency.

On the occasion, Singh and Beck also met with Chetan Kumar Shrivastava, General Manager of NFR, to review ongoing initiatives and discuss strategies to enhance vigilance administration and foster a culture of integrity across the organisation.

The workshop concluded reaffirming the Vigilance Wing’s commitment to upholding ethical conduct and accountability in railway governance, the release added.
