Maligaon, August 27 (MExN): Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has announced changes to train services as restoration work continues near New Harangajao station following the settlement of railway tracks on Line-1 and Line-2.
Train operations in the Lumding–Badarpur Hill Section are currently being maintained through Line-3, with enhanced safety measures in place, the NFR stated in a release on August 27. In view of the ongoing restoration work, Train No. 15615 Guwahati–Silchar Express scheduled to commence its journey on August 28 has been cancelled. Its return service, Train No. 15616 Silchar–Guwahati Express, commencing its journey on August 29, has also been cancelled.
Meanwhile, Train No. 15650 Narangi–Agartala Express, scheduled to commence its journey on August 28, has been rescheduled to depart from Narangi at 6:30 PM. Train No. 20507 Sairang–Anand Vihar Terminal Express, also scheduled to commence its journey on August 28, has been rescheduled to depart from Sairang at 8:10 PM.
NFR said restoration work near New Harangajao is continuing and train operations are being regulated accordingly to ensure safety. The railway has advised passengers to take note of the revised schedules before undertaking their journeys.
