Maligaon, April 23 (MExN): Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has announced a comprehensive revision of timings for several Mail/Express and passenger trains across its network, effective April 27, to improve punctuality and operational efficiency.
Certain trains will adopt the new schedule from April 24 and 28.
The revision covers major divisions — Katihar, Alipurduar, Rangiya, Lumding and Tinsukia — and affects a wide range of services including the Farakka Express, Teesta Torsa Express, Kulik Express, Garib Nawaz Express, Paharia Express, Intercity Express and DEMU passenger services.
Among the major trains affected are the 15743/15744 and 15733/15734 Balurghat-Bhatinda Farakka Express, 13063/13064 Howrah-Balurghat Express, 13161/13162 Kolkata-Balurghat Tebhaga Express, 13053/13054 Howrah-Radhikapur Kulik Express, 15463/15464 Balurghat-Haldibari Intercity Express, 15716 Ajmer-Kishanganj Garib Nawaz Express, 15719/15720 Katihar-Siliguri Intercity Express, 13141/13142 Sealdah-New Alipurduar Teesta Torsa Express and 15721/15722 New Jalpaiguri-Digha Paharia Express, among others.
Under the revised schedule, timings at several stations have been advanced to enable faster running. At Ganga Rampur, departure has been preponed from 11:18/11:20 hrs to 11:15/11:17 hrs, while at Buniadpur, timings have been advanced from 11:05/11:07 hrs to 10:58/11:00 hrs.
Passengers are advised to verify updated timings on the IRCTC website before undertaking their journey, Chief Public Relations Officer Kapinjal Kishore Sharma said.
