Dimapur, November 1 (MExN): The Nagaland Gaonbura Federation (NGBF) on Monday appealed to the Government of Nagaland to consider the demand for upgrading Tseminyu into a district.
“Our Rengma brothers have submitted several memorandums in this regard. They have been demanding with valid historical facts, reasons and rights. There are some facts or reasons which are beyond the measures of criteria,” the federation President Saleem Konyak and General Secretary Shikuto Zalipu stated in a press release. Stating that demand for Tseminyu district is based on historical documentation since 1866, the release stated that “their contributions and genuineness must be respected by the Naga people.”
Keeping in view, the authenticity of our Rengma brothers' rights, the NGBF appealed the Government of Nagaland to upgrade Tseminyu subdivision into a District Headquarter without delay.
