Dignitaries who attended the NGRC-1 CU general meeting.
KOHIMA, OCTOBER 18 (MExN): The Nagaland Government Registered Class-1 Contractors' Union (NGRC-1 CU) conducted a general meeting-cum-installation of new team with the union’s Advisor Neibu Nagi and union Legal Advisor Kezhokhoto Savi, Advocate as resource person.
The session was chaired by S Bendang Jamir and presidential speech was delivered by Seyiekuolie. The nomination committee report was presented by KC Angami while Viu Belho installed the new team.
The new team is led by Theyiekielie Tacii as President, Arep Chankija as Vice President, E Zuchamo Jami as General Secretary, Abel P Shohe as Joint Secretary, and Treasurer Thinuokhrielie Yaotsu. While addressing the gathering, Neibu Nagi encouraged the contractors to be hard working and honest and also pointed to three important components that a contractor is require to have i.e. to be financially sound, complete set of machineries and a team of engineers in one's office.
Kezhokhoto Savi meanwhile asked the contractors to strictly follow the code of NPWD & CPWD starting from tender process to avoid deduction of commission in the name of party fund, etc., so as to ensure quality of work. Then only we can have good roads and other infrastructural development in the state, he stated.
At the beginning of the meeting, the union observed a moment of silence for 5 minutes in remembering three of its members—Yanshitsungba Jamir, Hokato Naga and Mhalie who had passed away. The session was ended with a dinner hosted by Neibu Nagi.
