Tuensang, February 17 (MExN): The Development Action Plan Committee (DAPC) Tuensang district on Wednesday made an appeal to the Minister for National Highways Nagaland State, Executive Director (Projects) NHIDCL and M/s Tachu Company with regard to the repair works along the NH-155/202 Mokokchung to Tuensang road.
While extending its gratitude to everyone concerned for enabling the approval for repair works along the mentioned stretch, the DAPC noted that most part of the road in Tuensang side is in a worse condition than on the Mokokchung side. “We request the above stated authorities to install all the necessary machineries and start the work from the welcome gate of Tuensang town and complete the works accordingly in the stipulated time as given in the work order,” the Committee stated.
It hoped that the matter would be taken seriously and that the work would start by the second week of March 2021. While assuring full support towards the completion of the road, the DAPC requested ‘national workers or any organization’ to refrain from levying any sort of taxes on the project.
