NH 61/2 road works: Wokha DC assures compensation  from November 15

WOKHA, NOVEMBER 11 (MExN): The Deputy Commissioner of Wokha has given a written assurance to the NH 61/2 Core Committee that land compensation towards affected land owners will be dispersed with effect from November 15, and all necessary modalities would follow suit thereon. This assurance was given during a coordination meeting held today at the Wokha DC’s conference hall in the presence of 38 A/C MLA, Dr Chumben Murry.  The meeting was held to discuss issues relating to the roadworks at NH 61/ 2 (KM 72.40 to KM 83).  A press release from the core committee acknowledged the DC, department officials and all stakeholders for “their relentless effort in bringing a positive outcome.” It meanwhile appealed to the affected land owners to co-operate with the concerned agency while executing the work. The core committee cautioned that any individual/group failing to comply with the directives of the committee would invite necessary action. It further appealed to the concerned agency to strictly adhere with the DPR guidelines while executing the project.
