NHPS cautions empanelled hospitals on non-compliance

Kohima, August 8 (MExN): The Nagaland Health Protection Society (NHPS) has issued an advisory to address non-compliance issues among certain empanelled healthcare providers under the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY) and Chief Minister’s Health Insurance Scheme (CMHIS).

The NHPS has observed that some empanelled hospitals, both within and outside Nagaland, are not adhering to the guidelines and terms set out in the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed at the time of their empanelment. This lack of compliance has led to significant inconvenience and distress for beneficiaries, a matter the NHPS considers a serious concern.

To address these issues, the NHPS has reiterated the importance of following the National Health Authority (NHA) guidelines and has outlined potential actions against non-compliant healthcare providers. The NHPS is committed to ensuring that all beneficiaries receive the quality of care promised under these schemes, the advisory issued by Thavaseelan K, IAS, CEO, Nagaland Health Protection Society stated.

Empanelled hospitals have been urged to review their practices to ensure full compliance with the established guidelines and agreements. Beneficiaries and healthcare providers can contact the NHPS helpline numbers—8880515011, 8880515012, 8880515013, or 8880515014—for further assistance.
