NITCA undertakes industrial visit to China to study production and distribution strategies

Members of the newly launched Naga International Trade Centers Association (NITCA) are on a ten-day industrial visit to China landed at Kunming International Airport on August 21.  

The main objective of the industrial visit is to learn and interact with businesses and companies in China in the sectors of village tourism, food processing, general construction development, hospitality and IT/electronics related companies which have relevance and potential to develop in the region.  

Headed by NITCA President Augustine Reading, the visiting team members include NITCA Secretary General Kejaroko Pieru, NITCA Member Sweyiekul Zhotso and President of Mokokchung Chamber of Commerce (MCCI) and Mokokchung Entrepreneurs Consortrium (MEC), Tsukti Longkumer.  

The team will be visiting industries in the provinces of Yunnan, Guizhou, Guangdong and the national capital territory of Beijing.  

Meanwhile, in an exclusive interaction with the Morung Express, MCCI President and MEC Chairman Tsükti Longkumer said that more NITCA members who are in Guangzhou and Shenzheng will be joining the team at Khumning. Longkumer said that they visited Yunnan Nationalities Village today which is located about 10 kilometers from Kunming. Describing Kunming, he said that the people there look “familiar” but added that the climate was much hotter than home. He also added that import and export business opportunities, wood and bamboo industry, recycling and waste management, medicinal plants and herbs, eco tourism, agriculture and allied industries and garments production would be some of the industries that the visiting NITCA team will be exploring. He also said that they would “study the reasons for cheap production and distribution of Chinese goods.” He informed that NITCA was formed recently on July 12, 2018.
