Dimapur, August 5 (MExN): Niuland Area Students’ Union held its 3rd Inter-School Literary Competition cum Felicitation Programme on August 4 at St. Joseph School, Niuland.
ADC Niuland, Athrila S, who graced the occasion, exhorted the students to pursue “real” knowledge and achieve greater goals in life and not just study for the sake of completing or getting a degree, stated a press release received here.
Bendanglila, Sub-divisional Education Officer (SDEO) Niuland also spoke and handed over Academic Excellence awards, namely Tolhopu Excellence Award to Kheholi Zhimo, Hezuli Excellence Award to Atokali Awomi, and Hokishe Excellence Award to Vini Zhimo.
The panel of judges for the literary competition comprised of Pekingto Y Jimomi, Khuvishe Holo and Alotoli Awomi, while the comperes of the event were Aghatoli Zhimomi and Minto Chophy.
Earlier, invocation prayer was said by Tokivi Yeptho, Pastor, Niuland Town Sümi Baptist Church, welcome address by Rev Father Matthew John, and presidential note was delivered by Yepeto Aye.
Reginald Hughes Shaw Memorial School and Seth Shohe presented special numbers. The event ended with vote of thanks by Mughaka Chophy and benediction prayer by Shenili Assumi Wati.
