Kohima, December 16 (MExN): The Business Advisory Committee (BAC) of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) on Thursday has finalised the provisional programme for the tenth NLA Session on December 20. The committee meeting chaired by NLA Speaker on December 16 discussed the business to be transacted during the forthcoming Emergent Session to be held on December 20, informed a press release from the NLA Secretariat. The business for the scheduled session include Reporting on Assent to Bills; Introduction of Government Resolutions; Discussion, Consideration and Adoption of Government Resolutions; Unfinished Business, if any; and Adjournment of the Session sine- die. The upcoming session assumes significance against the backdrop of Oting killing on December 4 and the ensuing chains of events on December 5 and thereafter. Among others, the session is expected to adopt a strong State Government Resolution for repeal of Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA), 1958.
