NLSF on enrolment of law grads in state roll

Dimapur, December 29 (MExN): The Nagaland Law Students’ Federation (NLSF) met Kulesh Goswami, Secretary, Bar Council of Assam, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram and Sikkim in Guwahati on December 28. 

According to a press release on Wednesday, the federation led by its President C Talimoa met Secretary Goswami to address grievances of fresh law graduates of Kohima Law College with regard to enrolment under the State Bar Council. “The advertent procrastination to register the fresh Kohima Law graduates in the State Roll has impeded the students at stark disadvantage in their career progression and future professional activities,” the NLSF stated.

The State Bar Council is said to have acknowledged the impediment endured by the aggrieved students and assured that with the assent of the Bar Council of India and after its approval, registration of the fresh law graduates of Kohima Law Collage will commence. “The NLSF will also communicate with the Bar Council of India, New Delhi for speedy redressal post vacation,” the release stated. 

The NLSF meanwhile appreciated the State Bar Council for resuming the registration of law graduates from Mokokchung Law College and City Law College, Dimapur in the State Roll.
