Dimapur, November 18 (MExN): The New Market Business Welfare Committee Ward -19, a Government registered organization of New Market, Dimapur, initiated several precautionary measures and steps in its jurisdiction to tackle with the festive season and the consequent increase in inflow of consumers/customers.
According to a press release on Wednesday, the Committee distributed free masks, sign boards, statutory warning signs at every shop and installed several hand sanitizers at entry and exit points of the market.
It also urged upon the general public to observe all safety measures and adhere to the existing standard operating procedures issued by the government, for the safety of one and all.
Further, the Committee called upon the contactors undertaking construction works within the New Market jurisdiction to expedite works as per the actual DPR/DPRs and to prioritize public convenience. It also urged upon the concerned administrative officials to ensure convenient passage across New Market for the public, especially during the festive season.
