
Kohima, May 4 (MExN): The President and colleagues of the Network of Nagaland Drugs and AIDS Organizations (NNagaDAO) has mourned the demise of Imchawati Kichu, Director, Care & Support Mokokchung on May 2 at Escort Fortis Hospital, New Delhi.
Late Kichu was a founder member and an incumbent Advisor of NNagaDAO, who has been actively involved in drugs and HIV prevention, testing and treatment programs and social upliftment of the most marginalized section of the society, till his last breath, a stated a condolence message.
The NNagaDAO, the apex body of NGOs and CBOs working in the field of drugs, HIV, and AIDS in Nagaland, further acknowledged the yeoman contributions made by the departed member towards the high risks, and marginalised group of people and our Naga society at large, it said.
He was sincerely committed towards health and social causes, with great competency required to be an efficient social worker, it added, further terming late Kichu as a fun-loving, high-spirited remarkable gentleman.
In his demise, we have lost a great and active social worker, a good friend to NGO and CBO workers, Drug Users, People Living with HIV, Orphans and Persons with Disabilities, added the message issued by Abou Mere, President NNagaDAO.
The Network shares the grief and the pain along with the family members, during this moment of grief, and prays that the bereaved family members will find peace and solace in the thought that the departed soul has gone to be in the loving arms of our Almighty Father, it added.
