NNC (PB) condemns ‘acts of violence’

Dimapur, October 21 (MExN): The NNC (Parent Body) on Thursday said that the image and reputation of Nagas from outside perspective is “associated with savagery and brutality even though we claim to be Christians, and hence we are despised because of such acts of violence.”

While condemning the incidents of killings that took place recently, NNC (Parent Body) Information & Publicity Wing in a press release stated that “the killing of civilian and among factions have emerged once again in our peaceful Homeland, this is truly heartbreaking and awful for all the people in the homeland.”

“It is because of such sinful acts of bloodshed in our Homeland called “Nagaland for Christ” we the Nagas and particularly the National workers have not been able to come together in unity to achieve our freedom for so long. The more we continue to kill one another, the more we will pay and suffer in our struggle for freedom, and peace in the Homeland can never prevail,” it stated.

It also claimed that “By the grace of God, the NNC (Parent Body) is the only institution who stands and holds firmly to “non-violence”, which is the best and most peaceful policy for freedom. “May God Almighty save the Naga people and their Homeland,” it added.
