Affirms to stand for people living across Burma (Myanmar) region
Dimapur, January 24 (MExN): The NNC Parent Body today “reiterated its stand on Naga national unity for political solution as a whole for the best interest and peace to prevail among all the Naga people.” It also affirmed its commitment “to stand for our down trodden people living across the Burma (Myanmar) region.”
The NNC in a statement issued through its Information & Publicity Wing informed all concerned that the NNC Parent Body under the leadership of Yilow Humtsoe, Zhiongba Yimchungru and V Nagi held deliberations during January 20-22 where “intensive discussions on key issues for the betterment of the Naga people and the North East were addressed and resolved.”
“Also the meeting touched upon the importance of maintaining peace and tranquility in the North East region as a brotherly neighbour for better future of the region as we are geographically, politically, socially and historically connected,” it stated.
“Therefore let us all stand together to achieve peace and unity for the best interest of all concerned and prosperity in the region,” the NNC urged.
