Tuensang, October 17 (MExN): The Sangphur Students’ Union (SSU) and Yakor Students’ Union (YSU) jointly inspected the GHS Sangkor and interacted with the teaching faculty and student to assess the quality of education on October 15.
A joint statement from SSU and YSU informed that various lapses were detected during the inspection. The school has been functioning without an Asst Headmaster (AHM) since March 2017. There is no science teacher in elementary section since 2017 and as such science classes were not taken in some classes.
The SSU and YSU in a joint statement appeal the concerned authority to take cognizance of the grievances of the students and deploy adequate subject teachers at the earliest.
The Unions urged the teachers to perform their duty diligently and regularly and also donated some stationeries and wall frames to the school and assure the school of its cooperation and support.
