No compromise on quality of NH road works, says Jalukie youth bodies

DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 21 (MExN): The Jalukie Students’ Union (JSU) and Jalukie Pumling Youth Organisation (JPYO) conducted joint consultative meeting with the contractors of the 2 lane road along the National Highway NH 129A. 

A press release from the two bodies informed that during the meeting, both the parties agreed not to compromise on the quality of the road at all cost. 

“The implementing agent (contractor) shall strictly adhere to the government specification and the JSU & JPYO shall from time to time voluntarily inspect within its territory and the company/contract holder shall not entertain outsiders for any issues. The JSU & JPYO also assured to extend all out effort to sustain tranquillity to speed up workmanship without interference in the least quarter,” they affirmed.  

The JSU and JPYO further approved that, the earth cutting shall be strictly done as per the surveyed post and in the event of any necessity for expansion/diversion, the work shall be paused till such a time that the due compensation is obtained by the deserving land holder. It was also mutually agreed to convene weekly/monthly meetings to facilitate better coordination amongst the two parties.

The Jalukie Students’ Union and Jalukie Pumling Youth Organisation meanwhile appealed to all concerned, be it individuals or organizations, to refrain themselves from interfering in the work of the two lane construction within the stretch of Jalukie jurisdiction.
