In a day of more political drama which has further intensified the tussle within the Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC), at least two of the Government nominees in the DMC have issued separate written petitions to the Deputy Commissioner Dimapur pledging support for the No Confidence Motion calling for the ouster of incumbent Chairperson Y. Vikheho Awomi and Deputy Chairperson DP Angami from their posts as demanded by the 13 elected councilors earlier. DC KN Ngullie confirmed that he had received a letter of support from two of the government appointed nominees. However, a caller who refused to be identified informed this paper that all the five government nominees had submitted the petition.
