Minister Tongpang Ozukum inaugurates ‘Hairitage Saloon’ in Mokokchung
Mokokchung, October 31 (MExN): With a focus on promoting self-employment and organization of unemployed youth in 24 Angetyongpang A/C, Minister for Mechanical and Housing, PWD Tongpang Ozukum, inaugurated a hair cutting saloon at Sungkomen ward, Mokokchung on October 30.
Speaking at the inaugural programme of ‘Hairitage Saloon’, the Minister said the initiative was part of a 'livelihood program' which was kick started to provide a platform for talented unemployed youth in Angetyongpang constituency area. He was confident that the initiative will not go in vain and bear fruits of success.
Ozukum also expressed his happiness on the successful operation of the two wheeler taxi service at Alempang ward which was also launched under the same livelihood program, stated a press release issued by the Press Secretary to the Minister.
Challenging the youth, Ozukum said there is no shame or substitute for doing honest work and that every job is important as long as it elevates a person financially while utilizing their God given talents. He also encouraged the youth to take the lockdown as a blessing in disguise and fill up the void created by the migrant workers all across the state.
The Minister also promised to assist the two hair stylist, Sentiwabang and Sayumongba of ‘Hairitage Saloon’ and said the Sungkomen Unit (24 Angetyongpang A/C Independent party) will look after their welfare for a time period until they are settled in their new professional hair styling venture.
Earlier at the program, Limanungsang, Sungkomen ward Chairman and Nungshimangyang, president, 24 Angetyongpang Assembly Constituency, Independent Party also spoke on the occasion.
