Mokokchung, June 6 (MExN): The Mokokchung Police has on Sunday stated that the District Task Force has not issued any directive or instruction on any social media platform about total closure of market from June 7-11 in the district.
“Regarding a message which is going viral on social media about total closure of market from 7 to 11 June allegedly issued by PVC Health Committee, public are advice not to panic as this is totally a fake news,” the Mokokchung Police in a release posted on its official Facebook Page.
The police further informed that investigation is going on to trace down the culprit to initiate legal action, stated the press release issued by the PRO & Additional Superintendent of Police Mokokchung.
Further public are advised not to share any unauthenticated message or news on social media as spreading fake news will invite sections of law under IT Act and IPC and attract punishments leading to imprisonment or fine or with both, it added.
