Noklak: Bailey bridge, community hall in Langnok village inaugurated

Noklak, May 20 (MExN): Advisor, Prisons, Printing & Stationery H Haiying inaugurated Bailey bridge at Luvei Mong, Langnok village road, and community hall at Langnok village on May 20.

In his inaugural speech, Advisor Haiying urged the villagers to know their responsibility- be it leaders or the general public, and learn to live in unity, stated a DIPR report. While expressing his appreciation for the good workmanship in constructing the Bailey bridge of Luveimong River and the Community Hall at Langnok village, Haiying requested the people to take care of government facilities and take ownership of the infrastructures. He asked the people to work hard and sought cooperation for more development in the days to come.

Deputy Commissioner, Noklak Hiazu Meru said, “the Government is giving importance to the border district and villages- Langnok village is located very near to the international boundary between India and Myanmar.” The DC advised the VCC, GBs, VGs, and village elders to control and check the illegal activities such as transportation of intoxicating substances. 

Mandal President, Peshen and District Planning Officer, Noklak Meren Jamir also spoke during the occasion. The keynote address was taken by Hd GB Langnok Khonglai while the vote of thanks was spoken by VCC Langnok Pengchang. Meanwhile, Advisor Haiying inspected the ongoing construction of Langnok village ground.
