Noklak DPDB clears November agenda

Noklak, November 15 (MExN): The Noklak District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) held its monthly meeting on November 13 at DC Conference Hall with Noklak Deputy Commissioner and DPDB vice-chairperson Reny Wilfred.

According to updates from the DIPR, the DC told the board members that it is the responsibility of government employees to deliver justice to the people and highlighted the ground reality in the surrounding areas, as witnessed during spot verification.

During review of the last meeting minutes, he also reminded all the departments to submit ongoing activities and the plan of action.

The meeting discussed on the proposal for requirement of land/site for Police establishment at Noklak headquarter, construction of school building at GHS, Noklak village, registration of ‘Refined Cluster Society’ of Noklak village, construction of Transit Camp at ITC, Dan (Pangsha) under BADP, and decided to forward the matters to higher authorities for approval, the DIPR report stated. 

Regarding improvement of medical facilities at ITC, Dan (Pangsha) in the recently upgraded PHC which is the first point of reference for people, particularly those coming from Myanmar side of the Free Movement Region, the meeting unanimously approved the agenda to be forwarded to the concerned department, it added.

The board also deliberated on the agenda for assessment of connectivity needs for effective border trade activity at ITC, Dan (Pangsha) was discussed and decided to endorse the matter to EE R&B, Noklak for his report to be taken up with the government.

“Further, the stretch of road from 15 Km to New Pangsha Village measuring 6 Km (appprox)  which is vital and usually used for travel has been recommended to be taken up by the NPWD since the stretch of road is not been under any Department till date,” the DIPR report stated.

Construction of Border Haat and operationalisation through the Department of Industry and Commerce was approved by the house to be forwarded to the concern authority for consideration in order to facilitate trade activity. Proposal as submitted by the Department of Power, Noklak was discussed and approved to forward to the concerned department for necessary consideration, it added.

Department of Urban Development presented the departmental activities during the meeting and the State Bank of India, has been entrusted to deliver the presentation in the next meeting.
