Noklak, March 16 (MExN): Noklak District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) monthly meeting was held at DC’s Conference hall, Noklak on March 15.
A DIPR report stated that during the meeting, the Vice Chairman & Deputy Commissioner, Noklak, Reny Wilfred highlighted two important landmarks located in the district which needs to be preserved and protected.
He informed the house that Pyo Ling Kha cave at Chiphur village measuring 300 ft length, 150 ft height and 30 ft breath is one of the biggest caves of the state. Also, a gigantic tree at Choklangan village called Nok-khio Pai Meiniu measuring 148.5 ft height, 22.8 ft in circumference and 7.2 fts in diameter is one of the largest trees.
Emphasizing on the education sector, the DC Noklak said many students are moving out of the district due to none availability of proper institutions in the district. Therefore, he called on the need for IGNOU, NIOS and other institutions in order to improve education in the district.
Some of the other agendas discussed were posting of PHE and Electrical Junior Engineers at Thonoknyu Hq and construction of Water Storage Tank at Thonoknyu town, to which, the house approved and recommended to the concerned departments.
SDO (Civil) Longdiba Sangtam shared on the problems of water shortage at Thonoknyu HQ. CMO, Tuensang, Dr Moa Jamir shared on the COVID-19 vaccine which are ongoing and encouraged the members to take the vaccine and to lead by example as the head of the Departments.
The house deliberately discussed on hospital equipment and proposals for construction of boundary fencing, 100 KV transformer, Construction of ART & OST, Guest house, Infections disease, Store, Separate ward etc buildings at CHC, Noklak which was submitted by the SMO,CHC, Noklak to which the house approved and recommended to the concerned department.
District Promotion Promoter, Chongkoi also submitted a proposal to conduct science exhibition in the district, engagement of district consultant, business incubator under the ministry of food processing etc which was approved and forwarded to the concerned authorities. The meeting also discussed on various other agriculture and tourism sector projects
Registration of brand name as Noklak and Noklak First for various products was discussed and approved. Inclusion of priority list in the district website was also approved.
The House constituted verification Committee for LADP implementation 2020-21 and also approved for Development of Public Park in the district HQ and recommended to the concerned department for considering.
Earlier, introduction of new members SDO (Civil) Thonoknyu Longdiba Sangtam, SDPO Noklak, Akum Lam and Inspector F&CS, Noklak Ongpha Konyak were introduced to the house.
