Noklak, March 16 (MExN): ART Centre at Community Health Centre, Noklak was inaugurated by Advisor, Prisons, Printing & Stationery, H Haiying on March 16.
A DIPR report stated that speaking on the inaugural, the advisor congratulated the National AIDS Control Organization (NACO) under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare GOI, for constructing full-fledged ART Centre under Nagaland State AIDS Control Society (NSACS) at Community Health Centre at Noklak. He appreciated NACO for availing the facilities in the district and urged upon the community to give a positive response in availing the benefits. “Our Community Health Centre has been upgraded to District Hospital” and therefore, he requested all the district people to have a sense of ownership and give a positive response to the government.
Deputy Commissioner, Noklak, Reny Wilfred, IAS stated that Noklak is getting district hospital status and expressed gratitude to all who had initiated and worked for the opening of ART Center. He opined that, mobile Unit lab should be started in order to reach out to far flung villages.
Deputy Director, (CST) NSACS, Dr Nitovi Shikhi stated that NACO had bought the facilities in the district and requested the community to avail the facilities. He appreciated the church body for coming forward to fight the disease. Unless the family and community level change it won't be able to reach the goal of elimination of HIV/AIDs by 2030, he said.
Earlier, dedicatory prayer of Anti Retroviral Treatment Centre was delivered by Executive Secretary, KBCA Himpao and welcome note was said by SMO, CHC Noklak Dr Victor.
