Kiphire, October 11 (MExN): Nominations for the upcoming bye-elections to the Nagaland Legislative Assembly in 60 Pungro-Kiphire (ST) Assembly Constituency can be filed in the office of the Additional Deputy Commissioner (HQ) Kiphire, election official informed on Sunday.
In an order issued through the DIPR, the Additional Deputy Commissioner (HQ) and Returning Officer of 60 Pungro-Kiphire (ST) Assembly Constituency, Nyempo Wallim, notified that the candidate of any of his/her proposers can deliver the nomination papers to the ADC (HQ) and RO or to EAC (HQ) and Assistant RO, Imlijungla Lemtur, between 11:00 am to 3:00 pm on any day (other than public holiday). The last date for nominations would be 3:00 pm on October 16.
Forms of nomination paper may be obtained at the aforesaid place and time, the order stated.
The nomination papers will be taken up for scrutiny at 11:00 am on October 17 at the the DC Conference Hall, Kiphire.
Notice of withdrawal of Candidature may be delivered to the RO or ARO, either by a candidate or by any of his proposers or by the election agent with written authorisation from the candidate before 3:00 pm on October 19.
In the event of election being contested, the poll will be taken on the November 3 between 6:00 am to 4:00 pm, the RO’s order notified.
